This is one of our newest design pure tubes phono pre-amplifier with MC and MM input capability, it is completely component-to-component hand-wired with high quality good musicality parts. Selectable MC input impedance of 200ohm and 47K ohm (47K ohm is use for MM or MI or high output MC cartridge connection),
This phono stage uses all tube design, with three 12AX7 (or 12AU7 + 12AX7x2) for MC and MM circuits. Very high dynamics and good resolution along with smooth and sweet tonal quality. Maximum undistorted output voltage up to 20 Vp-p. Which can give out the same or even higher output level than regular CD levels (typical LP output level is just 1/4 of CD output level) .

It gives 40db gain for the MM input , and 40-80db variable gain for the MC input. You can also use a MM cartridge with the MC input and set to proper setting, to make the output level par with the regular CD output level, and get an enhanced dynamics over the regular MM input.
The VR version is equipped with output level control, you can even skip the pre-amp and directly hook up to the power amp. The super high gain of max. 80db with super low noise floor performance, you can use even low-output MC cartridges and get satisfactory low noise results. Input impedance is a continuous variable from 100ohm to 47K ohm.
You will need to pay at least $4K-5K from other manufacturers to get a phono stage with barely close or even lower in sonic performances. Some even shamelessly ask for $7-9K for an all tube MC/MM phono made with PCBs.
