5W x 2  single-ended power amplifier

This is our entry level single-ended power amplifier, using the most common 6BQ5 small power tube as the output section. This amplifier can drive speakers with an efficiency above 86db/W to reasonable loudness level, or it can be used as the second amp to drive the tweeter section of a bi-wireable speaker system.

For this low price you won't find anything in the market which sounds better than this amplifier.

The oak chassis unit pictured is a special version built with NOS UTC 2W output transformers, which can deliver 1Wrms of output power.

The lowest photo set shows a headphone amp version with XLR balanced outputs and a dual input selector, for a small additional cost.

Top-most photo set shows SE (special edition) version, with 6SL7 x 2 instead of 12AX7 x 2 as front end, HPF (high pass filter) switch to cut-off frequency below 1500Hz and use solely as high-freq drive amplifier in bi-amp system. One pair of pre-amp output added to connect another power amplifier. R-core or EI power transformer as an option with same price.
