After a few weeks testing and hearing your DAC i wanna give a short feedback.

The DAC is absolutely awesome and sounds fantastic in my system – the best thing i've ever heard. Thank you very much for this.

From : Jakub (model: TMC-100)

The improvement is substantial-the choral parts such as in Misa Criolla with Jose Carreras sound for the first time in tune. The same for sustained piano chords. When I aligned the speed with the 1khz sound on the computer I got just the slightest fluctuation in unison. It would be impossible to get perfect unison as I can hear fluctuation in the test generator sound itself just on the computer alone. The rumble is virtually nonexistent (I have to increase the volume to about 11:30 for the onset of the rumble and I listen to just past 9:00 o’clock volume the loudest). Also the clarity micro dynamism (musical inflections) and imaging has improved.

I purchased Al's SEP-104...absolutely the best pre-amp I've ever owned or heard!! And its still breaking in which means its only going to get better---incredible! Due to Al's highest quality/performing products I am already planning on future purchase's from him, including a tubed DAC and a STR-104 power upgrade. Space Tech Audio is what I've been looking for for 35 years!! My audio has never sounded sooo good!!

From : Pajares (model : BUF-103G)

Love your products. I have the BUF-103-G and soon will take it in for some upgrades.

From: Sprecher

I am enjoying a Space Tech pre amp, and am very happy with the performance.

Comments: I have been dealing with Albert for a few months now and I just want to thank him a lot for all of the help he has given me. It all started when I was referred to him from a company rep for an integrated tube amp I had purchased previously. I was having problems with the amp and they suggested I bring it to Albert to get checked out. After a few emails back and forth it was evident that Albert had a passion for audio and that he certainly knew more about audio than anyone I have ever talked to or read about. Well, I decided to take a trip down to his shop and see for myself what was wrong with the amp and then do a comparison with his gear. Before I get any further, I want to mention that Albert never once tried to sell me any of his gear and he just provided me with his opinion on my integrated amp based on my request. I asked him if it was OK if we do a comparison with his gear so I could hear what the differences would be between what I had and what he had to offer. I was blown away at the diffence in sound quality between his gear and what I had. I am not an audiophile and I'm not the greatest at expressing what I hear and how to use audiophile terminology 100% but all I can say is that I have a decent ear for music and I can tell his gear had better clarity, air, detail, and had a sound that was smooth, and natural. Another impressive thing is that he has many different types of gear and many different combinations to chose from. The possibilities are almost endless and he builds everything himself and by hand. The other thing that amazes me is that he always answers emails quickly and he is always available to talk on the phone and when I went to his shop he spent almost 3 hours with me switching between gear and talking to me about my different options. After that visit I told him that I was sending my original integrated tube amp, from another company, back and that I'd purchase some of his gear. Since then I've been talking to him via email/phone and I have made 3 visits to his shop and have purchased one of his tube pre-amps (QA-10001) and I plan to buy a 70w 300B hybrid amp from him and eventually a DAC and a Tube rectifier upgrade unit and maybe down the road I'd like to purchase one of his speaker systems. Albert has always helped me out with my questions and he even offered to make a trip to my house (about 1300km round trip) to help me out with some issues I was having with the rest of my system. I ended up bringing my current power amp that is mated with the QA-10001 to his place so he wouldn't have to make the trip and he quickly fixed the combo for free. How's that for service? I don't think you'll get that service from anyone or any company. I really love the sound I'm getting from the QA-10001 even if it is mated to an inexpensive Solid State Amp from another company. I have heard the diffence between my current combo and the QA-10001/70w 300B combo and the difference is staggering. I can't wait to purchase the 300B amp, as my system will be amazing. Also, once I've made my major purchases from Albert the fun won't end there as there are almost endless tube rolling possibilities with his gear. All I can say is that Albert has me as a customer for life and I think anyone who loves listening to music and who values a good audio system, owes it to him/herself to contact Albert and he can steer you in the right direction to audio nirvana.

Really enjoy your gear. Would be happy to keep up on the latest news and views

From : Steven (model: STR-104 / DA-64XT / STR-1001 / HP-100-Super)

I have been listening with STR-104 back on DA-64 XT Super, with STR-1001 on HP-1001. Congradulations!!! I don't think that ANYONE has ever made a pair of difficult to drive Eminent Technology LFT-8B Speakers really open up like this. Even the dealer who sold me the Speakers tried, but couldn't accomplish this! BRAVO!!! This really did the trick! Very dynamic with a deep soundstage, low level information sounds very clear.
Can't imagine what those 32 Bit Remastered Disks will sound like on this System. I know to get something to make E.T. LFT-8B's sound this good would cost twice as much. You Sir, are a steely eyed Rocket Scientist! I mean that with all sincerity!

From : Greg (model: BUF-103-BAL)

I've been listening to the BUF-103 between the Benchmark DAC-1 PRE and the Classe Audio CA-201.
It is very clear the difference.  Without the BUF-103, there seems to be more distinction by way of a fine-sandy-grain texture.  With the BUF-103, there is colour where there was none and notable smoothness in the upper strings and brass attacks, brass is somewhat richer for sure and a bit smoothed over, slightly back into the soundstage.
Very impressive engineering, Albert.  I dialled the DAC to maximum and there was no his or hum passing from the BUF-103 to the Classe.
Very clean.  Excellent engineering.  As I said, I've no experience into this end of tubed audio, but on first listen, I am impressed and grateful for our acquaintance.

From : Terry (model: RV-102)

Purchased a custom made preamp at an extremely good price, being custom.
Extremely high quality parts and build grade, my specs were exceeded, fit and finish simply first class only exceeded by those pre costing +10k.
And above all this preamp really, really plays music.
Delivery as promised and bullet proof packing.
Super communication and a true pleasure working with Space-Tech.
Space-Tech !!! I wouldn't be shocked if he not from Earth.
For those who chose custom build ALBERT will keep you totally satisfied.

From : Fraser (model: QA-112-Mk2)

Hi there, I just wanted to make some comments about the new tube pre-ampI bought from Albert. The QA-112-MK2. I am having so much fun with this pre. My next target is a transport ,I just need to decide if I will have the dac built in or not. Albert is also a wealth of information. His builds are very well done and he can answeer all your audio questions. He sells this stuff all over the world for a reason. .I have it in the tape loop of a bryston b60 with the on board bryston dac. so very easy to compare things.Transport is a simple Marantz unit. I have an array of speakers that I use. JBL L-56 jubals, 4311B`s L77`s L36`s. Klipsch Cornwalls,(full Bob Crites Mods ) AR LST 11`s completly gone over to original specs. Some custom Vitavox boxes. And also one of Albert`s supertweeter`s that just adds the final touch to what ever system I am using. Assorted power ,new bryston 4bsst old 4b factory speced a year ago. Sima W2002 ( 2 of these babies, recapped ) Mc2505 Mc754, So lots of flavors. This QA-112-MK2 takes all this mostly vintage stuff up a new level. Thanks allot Albert. cheers

From : Ron (model: DA-64XT-Super-Mk3)

I recently bought the 'DA-64XT-Super' tube DAC from Space Tech Lab. My experience has been very positive, both with the company, the customer support, and with the DAC itself. I can say at the outset that the workmanship on the unit is excellent, the sound is superb, and the support, provided by the head engineer, is the best I've ever experienced. Space Tech built a customized unit for me, including making a chassis that fit my shelving location. The DAC is actually beautiful, in its wood cabinet, and the advice I received on using the best combination of tubes was invaluable. The sound quality I'm getting is as good as I could have hoped for, and the interesting thing is that the particular blending of tubes makes a significant difference in the sound--even though this is only a DAC. But this DAC is feeding both an electrostatic headphone amplifier and a single-ended triode class-A headphone amplifier that I own. So the quality of the analogue output of the DAC has a dramatic effect on every later stage of my equipment. A typical response-time for an emailed question to the head engineer is under 2 hours, and I've gotten very useful help in making the initial decision on which unit to buy, as well as how to configure it in my system. If you are going to spend a significant chunk of money on high-end audio equipment, I think you will get very good value, high quality, and top-notch support from Space Tech Lab. I am very happy with my purchase.

From : Stephen (model: QA-115-Mk4)

Received preamp this past Friday, and have been enjoying the music immensely!
I am very pleased that the dynamics and live quality are exactly what I was looking for.
The gain is very powerful, and there is that beautiful tube warmth similar to my boutique tube guitar amp.
I still don't have the spatial depth I seek but after moving my speakers to a more ideal
placement, this aspect was much improved. I just have to revamp the rest of my system, and work
on even better speaker placement. The digital PS Audio sounds much improved, more open but still compresses the music too much...

I have been listening to a Ted Leo album a lot this summer, but now I hear all the subtleties of his
use of the Echoplex effect in his guitar playing. I have played around 25 cds the last few days
and am hearing new details and information which I have never heard. My old Denon mastered
Charlie Parker Cds have been brought to life! My Van Morrison Universal Japan SHM CDs sound sublime...
played Veedon Fleece twice and the musical poetry brought me to tears. This preamp begins to
bring back the emotion to the music which I have been missing.
